Kid-friendly Christmas Rap Mix

To celebrate the end of 2012/the beginning of 2013, I present to you a kid-friendly, old-school rap mix. I left off CHRISTMAS IN HOLIS, cuz I think we've all heard that enough already.

Stream it via Soundcloud or download it from Soundcloud or Sendspace. Share it!

Things I learned from making this mix:
1. rappers want to cold chill with Santa
2. rappers like singing/sampling "Jingle Bells" over a hip-hop beat.

Jarrett and I have been talking about doing this for a while, but next weekend it happens!:

Krosoczka and Jef Czekaj team up for the first time ever in a performance that will smoosh together rap and punk music, drawing and rapping into one epic book reading. Jef Czekaj is a cartoonist, author, illustrator and musician. His books include Hip and Hop, Don't Stop!, Cat Secrets, The Circulatory Story and Yes, Yes, Yaul! Jarrett J. Krosoczka has authored and illustrated eighteen books including Good Night, Monkey Boy, thePunk Farm series and the Lunch Lady series."

Free! At Somerville's ArtBeat Celebration, Davis Square Starbucks Plaza, Saturday, July 21, 2:15 PM.

It's gonna look like this:

Yes, Yes, it's YES, YES, YAUL!

The sequel to Hip and Hop, Don't Stop comes out today!:

"Czekaj’s tale radiates good cheer, in both its snappy dialogue and its vitalizing artwork, and effectively counsels that involvement is one of the keys to living. "-Kirkus Reviews

TWO NEW BOOKS THIS SPRING, Y'ALL!

Oh yes, The Circulatory Story

I've been so excited about Hip and Hop, Don't Stop! coming out (Feb. 16), that I've neglected to mention that The Circulatory Story has also been released. This is the awesome sequel to The Quest to Digest and follows a Little Green Dude as he travels through a girl's circulatory system. Hilarity/Education ensues.

Once again written by Ms. Mary K. Corcoran and illustrated by me.

Buy it directly from the publisher.

Junior Library Guild picks!

Both The Circulatory Story and Hip and Hop, Don't Stop have been chosen as Junior Library Guild selections. What does this mean to you and me? Well, I'm not really sure, but apparently it's good news! According to their web site, more than 95% of the books that they choose go on to win awards and favorable reviews. I like those odds.
